Available
in two trim levels, base and Platinum, the
Escalade weights around 5,500 pounds and features
a six-speed automatic transmission. Offering
a manual-shift mode controlled by counterintuitive
buttons on a column-mounted shifter, the transmission
helps drivers to maintain control of the SUV
smoothly.
The
transmission sends power to either the back
wheels or all four, depending on whether you
choose the rear- or all-wheel drive option.
The all-wheel drive features a 40/60 front/rear
power split and, while the exotic car rental
isn't necessarily made for off-roading, the
power enables toe SUV to tow up to 7,400 pounds
of cargo.
The
Cadillac car rental comes standard with several
safety features, including stability control
with a rollover sensor, traction control,
antilock disc brakes, side curtain airbags
and an OnStar telematic system that acts as
a connection to the outside world should an
accident or emergency occur. Seating six,
seven or eight people, the Escalade features
second and third row seating. The third row
stays put but the second row can be power
flipped down to create more room for cargo
or additional leg room in the back seat.
The
interior of the Escalade is incredibly extravagant
and features alloy trim, faux walnut inlays,
triple-zone automatic climate control, soft
leather upholstery, power-adjustable pedals,
heated first and second row seats, remote
starting and an optional navigation system.
If that's not enough, the Platinum trim upgrades
amenities and includes 22-inch chrome wheels,
a CTS-inspired front grille, rear-seat entertainment
and upgraded leather upholstery.
