Corvette Convertible

Evolving each year, the Chevrolet Corvette has been around for decades and is the ultimate luxury car rental for sports car enthusiasts. One of the only sports cars manufactured by an American company, the Corvette has seen several changes throughout the years and only gets better with age.

Available in three different models, the Corvette features an impressive engine that seems to increase in power each time a new version is released. The 2008 standard Corvette coupe and convertible models both have a 6.2-liter V8 engine underneath the hood that generates 430 horsepower, 30 more than the 2007 model. The Corvette Z06 coupe features a 7.0-liter V8 engine that generates 505 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque, perfect for those who seek a powerful exotic car rental. On top of being more powerful, the Corvette engine is also known for being less complex, which enables it to run better and be manufactured for a lower price.

Each of the three Corvette models features a six-speed manual gearbox and the corvette and standard coupe have an optional six-speed paddle-shift automatic. Interior amenities, such as keyless entry/startup, full power accessories, satellite radio, leather seating, a six-way power driver seat, dual-zone climate control and an OnStar navigation system make the Chevrolet car rental seem more like a sedan than a sports car.

There are also several different optional packages to choose from in order to enhance exterior, interior or functional features. Both the convertible and coupe can be outfitted with customized two-tone leather, a transparent roof panel, driver-seat memory and a head-up display while the Z51 can be upgraded to handle better through additional cooling, stiffer suspension calibrations, larger brakes with cross-drilled rotors, specific tires and shorter gearing.
