Rolls
Royce
British history is
filled with distinguished automakers, but
perhaps none as celebrated as Rolls-Royce.
Since 1904, Rolls-Royce has been producing
some of the most elegant, inspired automotive
designs to ever make it onto the market. All
Rolls-Royce vehicles are hand built near Sussex
Downs, England, which also features a famous
race track on which early Rolls-Royces made
their mark.
Each Rolls-Royce, whether it is a sedan or
coupe, is built on a state of the art aluminum
space frame that is designed to be twice as
strong as a Formula One car, while still maintaining
a lightness that helps performance. The only
steel panel on any Rolls is the trunk –
meaning that when you pack your bags in your
luxury car rental Rolls-Royce you are touching
the only piece of the entire vehicle which
has not been engineered for maximum weight
savings.
Of course, once behind the wheel of a Rolls-Royce,
these kinds of thoughts take a backseat to
the incredible luxury that surrounds the driver.
The dashboards are made of magnesium, cast
into a single piece to make sure not even
the slightest squeak emanates over rough roads.
The hand-selected wood trim almost seems as
though it were all selected from a single
tree – such is the effort that is made
at matching each edge to create a continuous
expression of wooden luxury.
It is unusual to find this kind of decadence
in an exotic car rental, but then again, a
Rolls-Royce is an unusual car. From the fearsome
power that is found under the hood to the
fact that each of the leather hides on the
car seats come from the same herd that has
been selected for their exceptional quality,
a Rolls-Royce is a vehicle that imparts an
incredible sense of history, comfort and driving
pleasure with every single trip.
